s impossible without caution because of uncertainty because of obscurity, because of unknown, because of troubles... Oh, how complicated it is! yet that's the whole fun. You can't make a single step without caution. And who hasn't dreamed? I, too, have dreamed to get into tale if only in a dream So i've gotten there and at first everything seems so obscure, so obscure to me.Through the Looking Glass after eponymous tale by L. Carroll Part Two And so on the gardenpath real Red Queen was coming towards Alice. I'll go to meet her! I will go not towards her but away from her. Maybe then i'll manage to meet her. Where do you came from? Where are you hurrying to? Look me in the eye! Answer politely and don't trifle with your fingers! Well then, answer now and don't forget to add - Your Highness. I only...wanted to...take a look at the garden, Your Highness. Is this a garden? I've seen such gardens compared to which this one is simply deserted weed-field. And, moreover, i wanted to climb the hill. Is this a hill? I've seen such hills compared to which this one is just a low-land. No, there's no way a hill can be a low-land. That's complete nonsense! Is this a nonsense?! I've heard such nonsense compared to which this one is as sensible as a vocabulary. In my opinion, Looking-Glass-Land is very similar to chessboard. Oh, and these pieces!...oh, oh, oh, how interesting! I'd really like...to be accepted...into this game... even as just a pawn...but most of all i'd like to be a queen. That's easy to arrange. You'll be white royal pawn. Now you're standing on the second square. Get to the eighth and you'll become a queen. Pawn, as you know, can go two squares in first move, you'll pass third square full speed in train. On fourth you'll meet Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Fifth square is filled with water. Sixth is occupied by Humpty Dumpty. You're keeping silent? Am i supposed to say something? You were supposed to than me for kind explanations. Oh, well, let's assume you've done so. So, seventh square is all forest but knight will lead you through. But on eighth square we'll meet as equals. You'll become a queen. And because of that we will have a celebration. Faster! Faster! Is it still far? We passed 'still' a minute ago. Faster! Now you can rest. What's this? We have remained beneath these trees?! But of course, what did you expect? [at our place] when you run for a long time you definately get someplace else. What a backward country! But here, you know, one must run as fast as he can just to stay in the same place. And to get someplace else one must run twice as fast. Let's run! I feel fine here. Only i'm very thirsty. That can easily be helped. Do you want a biscuit? Alice thought it would be impolite to refuse although biscuit was terribly dry and she almost choked. While you're quenching thirst, i will leave you. Don't linger, keep socks seperate and remember what you are. Farewell! Oh, what's that? Just like a swarm of bees! Of course, these were no bees. To tell the truth, these were elephants, and Alice soon was ascertained of that. She was simply breathless because of this discovery. How funny! When they will ask me at home how did i like it here, i'll tell: it was a nice walk, only it was hot and elephants stack all over me. Then Alice remembered that she was a pawn and had to make a move. Your tickets! And where's your ticket, girl? Don't delay him, girl. Do you know how much his time is worth? Thousand pounds a minute! To my regret, i don't have a ticket. There was no ticket office whrere i got on. There was no place for ticket office. Do you know how much land is worth there? Thousand pounds an inch. You had to buy a ticket from the engine-driver. That's the man who conducts the train. Do you know how much train's smoke is worth? Thousand pounds a wreath. It's better for me to keep silent. And, to Alice's greatest amazement, everybody
