we'd never really seen before in Trek. Well, he's not a king or a conqueror or anything like that. He's like a blue-collar, average worker. But he shares something that most Trek villains do, which is a desire to kill either Kirk or Spock. Wouldn't it be great if there was a villain who was just like, "I want to kill Sulu." Should we have our meeting about the sequel now? Yeah, we should start talking about Trek II now. Who should it be? Who should it be? This was a late addition, too, seeing the Narada go to warp. But they did an amazing job with that shot, too. -Which I love. -Yeah, that smoke trail is amazing. So this is one of my favourite ideas here, that having... This is, again, the stuntman did this jump. That's more slow motion. Sorry. -That's three times. -Yeah, it is more slow motion. I'd like to reverse my earlier position and say you have overused slow motion in this movie, J.J., and... I like how Kirk is hanging throughout his life. -That's true. -As a child. Yeah, it is sort of a motif. Yeah, he hangs a couple of times in the movie. This is Clifton Collins Jr doing a great henchman, bad guy, Ayel. The old "I got your gun" gag. -I love the interior, too. -He actually fell like that. No. Have we talked about Russell and the props in this film? Go for it. I think it was in general your desire to make everything a callback to the original series but to have it all be fresh and new. And if you look at the phasers, for example, they're all the familiar, original phaser, and yet new and different. Yeah, no, he did an amazing job. I mean, all around. It's the one thing that I feel watching the movie, I'm so proud of the work the entire crew did. I just think everyone just was, like, top of the... Top of their game, best in the business, amazing work. That's Neville Page, who designed the Cloverfield monster and also the big red Hengra creature. The idea that the Enterprise swoops in and helps Spock out. But you've never seen the Enterprise fire like that, which is what makes it so incredible. I mean, that moment is just... We, by the way, we restructured this whole... -Oh, my God, how many times? -No, but literally, in the last day of editing. We were gonna... Bryan, remember this? We were gonna leave, and I was like, "There's one more thing." We intercut or changed the intercuts structure of this whole last sequence. It was very... 'Cause it used to be... There was a whole big sequence, too, that you just, kind of... -Well, we rearranged it because it felt... -Flipped it around. Well, it felt like, you know, Spock's ship was flying -inside the Narada for way too long. -Yeah. And we changed it up a little bit, and it just feels much stronger now. There's a little indication that he's being warped. Yeah, you start to see him getting warped, yeah. There is that moment where you think, "Did he just kill himself?" Like George Kirk. But what a testament to the geography of, just conceptually, of the whole sequence. There are so many things happening there, and not for one second are you confused. And there, of course, you hear the Courage theme. That's right. And the music here wasn't in until the last day. And there's Scotty next to Chris Doohan. Yeah, that's right, James Doohan's son. I love everyone kind of coming together for this moment. And then, to go from this to his smile, 'cause in the old cut, it used to go to the Narada. Anyway, it was a much, I think, stronger structure, the one we ended up with. I love this effect. This was something that Roger Guyett really went nuts with, and just led the way, and I think came up with a really cool shot. And the sound here is cool, too. How just, literally, it goes silent for a few frames. Absolutely silent. This is one of my favourite shots, as well. I love how the camera is ------------------------------ Читайте также: - текст Принцесса на горошине на английском - текст Друзья - Сезон 1 на английском - текст Эта весёлая планета на английском - текст Золушка на английском - текст Ключ от спальни на английском |
