from some imagined
or real slight of some kind.

that I've read about,
that has caused
their resentment towards me,
have been so minute.

really do have this camaraderie
and this chemistry
and meet regularly
for barbecues.
I think of them with affection.
And knowing them
as long as we did
adds to the mystique
of affection.

in some other capacity don't
necessarily see each other.

at a company project, whatever,
some kind of a business event.
But we have, both of us,
very active, busy activities
and lives and surrounded
with other people,
and that's the way life
takes you where it takes you.

is backbreaking work.

Still, 14, 18 hours a day,
day in, day out.
All the mental and physical work
