I used a number of those references
It just happened that this was an actual
parade, which we put our float into, -
- unbeknownst to anybody,
all the people on the reviewing stand
Nobody knew what it was,

This is a nice scene,
where he pulls up next to his father

Again, this is his great, rubbery face

I had to do this all in one
As soon as I got off him, Matthew had

would be a nice little touch

We shot it over two days
The first Saturday was the real parade
The second one, we did pick-up shots
